 Harlequin-type ichthyosis (also harlequin ichthyosis, ichthyosis congenita, Ichthyosis fetalis or keratosis diffusa fetalis), a skin disease, is the most severe form of congenital ichthyosis, characterized by a thickening of the keratin layer in fetal human skin. In sufferers of the disease, the skin contains massive, diamond-shaped scales, and tends to have a reddish color. In addition, the eyes, ears, mouth, and other appendages may be abnormally contracted. The scaly keratin greatly limits the child\'s movement. Giel Beelen en Gerard Ekdom van 3FM kregen afgelopen nacht een vreemd telefoontje. Ene Otto van 19 jaar oud belde om 04.23 uur om 'Viva la Vida' van Coldplay aan te vragen. Het was zijn laatste wens: over tien uur zou hij euthanasie plegen.
Slechte grappen Giel maakte eerst zijn gebruikelijke slechte grappen ('we kunnen je verzoekje over elf uur draaien'). Toen hij bedacht dat het misschien niet om een hoax zou gaan, werd hij serieuzer. Kanker Otto vertelde dat hij al vier jaar kanker had; hij had enkele dagen geleden besloten om euthanasie te laten plegen. Hij experimenteerde de laatste tien uur van zijn leven met allerlei verschillende drugs. Het hoogtepunt in zijn leven was 3FM.
